CMM Optic celebrates record 2019 – Expansion plans for new decade!
February 13, 2020 – After a record financial year, as well as the 30th anniversary at CMM Optic, expansion is well under way to kick off the new decade. “CMM Optic has grown on all fronts in the last 18 months and continues setting the standard for precision machined optic solutions heading into 2020,” states Thomas Goundry, VP of Business Development. “We continue to redefine what is possible and the continued investment in our team and technology is an important part of this.”
The optics industry is driven by verification of the products delivered, and this is at the forefront of CMM Optic success. With that leading the way CMM Optic has added to their metrology suite. Additions include a Zygo New View 9000, a second GPI Verifire HD, and a 3rd CMM, a Zeiss Micura.
The growth also requires CMM Optic to invest in engineering and manufacturing to make certain they continue their 98% on-time delivery rating. “Adding key team members, providing continued training, and the latest industry tools or technology, along with the addition of another vertical machining center to complement our state of the art manufacturing capabilities and MORI-DMG are exciting and necessary,” Tom stated. “The recipe of team, technology, knowledge, and commitment result in a culture that yields success.” The addition of Justin Williams to the CMM Optic engineering team will increase the team’s ability to provide outstanding program management and product development building on their 30 years of success.
